Found in the delightful Treia valley close to Macerata, this farmhouse rental is ideal for those seeking relaxation in the pretty Marche countryside.

Despite its getaway from it all feel the villa is nonetheless close to several interesting hill top towns as well as the provincial capital of Macerata, which merits more than one visit to be suitably explored.

Entering via Villa Loli's private gates the drive quickly leads up to the proud old villa, which sits centrally in a large mature and fenced garden with private pool.

Various entrances to the property flood the ground floor with natural light, especially the large and nicely furnished living room which runs the whole length of the property and the fully equipped modern kitchen. There is also a separate utility room and hall way and a covered portico perfect for al fresco dining.

Upstairs are four light and spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en suite to the master bedroom.

There is also a stylish loft conversion providing a second living room but also equipped with a comfortable large futon to double as a very comfortable fifth bedroom, complete with second sofa, chaise longue and TV as well as lovely views of Treia.

A former meat smoking outhouse has been converted into a self-contained cottage in the garden complete with kitchen and upstairs double bedroom, reached by a relatively steep wooden staircase and with its own en suite shower and loo. Mosquito screens in both houses.

Situated as it is in central Marche, this villa is just 30 minutes from the Adriatic Coast in one direction and the spectacular Sibillini Mountains of the Apennines in the other.

And the property is only twenty minutes from Macerata's Sferisterio arena, which every year in July and August stages several open air operas, renowned throughout the world and second only to Verona in importance.

Being a university town and provincial capital of historical importance, Macerata also offers interesting architecture and art and some fine restaurants as well as a choice of good bars for the younger crowd.

To the north is San Marino which along with Rome, Florence, Perugia, Assisi, Urbino, Ascoli Piceno and Bologna are all day trip possibilities.
