Il Casale dates from 1780 but has been recently restored to a very high standard, with every apartment having independent air conditioning as well as extremely well equipped kitchens and spacious en suite bedrooms.

The apartments are ideal for families as is the whole estate, with fenced garden, large swimming pool and the chance to take advantage of the local products in a communal dining area run by the owners.

Among the produce available from the farm managed by the owners are fruit and vegetables, jams and conserves and various poultry.

The complex also offers sauna, turkish bath, a fitness studio and hydro-massage.

Il Casale is ideally placed for guests to enjoy a range of days out - from tasting the culture and cuisine of the surrounding medieval towns, to experiencing the hustle and bustle of coastal life in the many towns along the Adriatic and there plentiful weekly street markets.

The ancient town of Morrovalle overlooks Il Casale and its lofty location was chosen for good reason. It was given its first historical mention in 1035 as "Murri de Valli", probably a reference to its birth as a fortress town, making its hillyop location a must. Interesting works of art and beautiful architecture typify the old town.

Situated close to the Adriatic coast, Il Casale is an ideal place from which to explore Marche and central Italy, with Perugia, Bologna, Florence, Assisi, Siena and Rome all day-trip possibilities.

Yet there is also much to see and do closer to home. Just up the road is the wonderful university town of Macerata, where in July and August the impressive Sferisterio arena is host to an outdoor opera festival of international importance.

An hour to the north is San Marino and the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic Coast are within ten minutes drive.
