Set among t he foothills of Marche's northern Apennine mountains this large and friendly farmhouse offers tranquillity and beauty in abundance.

This Marche holiday villa has seven bedrooms and is ideal for a large group of guests. Downstairs is a large hall with fireplace, a library room with piano, living room snug, kitchen and large dining room. One en suite bedroom and two toilets are also located on the ground floor.

The other six bedrooms are found upstairs, three en suite and the other three sharing one bathroom.

The property is very close to the village of Piobbico, famous in Italy for an annual event promoting the virtues of "ugliness over the slavery of beauty."

Awonderful castle inhabits the higher reaches of the town which was originally built in the thirteenth century, then remodelled in the 1570s and very recently restored for a third time. From June to September the castle is open to the public at weekends and throughout the summer the town stages various events, including a polenta fete, a mushroom exhibition, a wine festival and a medieval pageant.

SWith Tuscany, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna all a short distance away, Casa Bianca finds itself in a unique position at the centre of Italy and the perfect place to explore not just Marche but also Perugia, Bologna, Florence, Assisi, Siena and even Rome.

However within even closer distance are many attractions and beautiful towns to visit. The beautiful university town of Urbino, the birthplace of Raphael is half an hour's drive. It is also home to the Palazzo Ducale, an architectural jewel which houses Marche's most important museum, the Galleria nazionale delle Marche.

An hour to the north is San Marino and the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic Coast are within an hour's drive.
