This is a large and beautiful holiday farmhouse set in the countryside between the famous town of Loreto and the coastal town of Porto Recanati. Just two miles from the Adriatic coast it offers guests interested in making the most of Marche's beautiful beaches plenty of opportunities.

Loreto is one of the most important pilgrimage sites of the Catholic church in Italy and the dome of the Sanctuario della Santa Casa dominates the land for miles around.

As a result of the Church's patronage Loreto is also home to many works of art by some of the most famous names of Late Renaissance Italy.

Case al Sole has lovely views of the hill-top town of Potenza Picena and towards the sea.

The house is also close to the Adriatic motorway, the A14, making trips further afield easy, with Tuscany, Umbria and Emilia-Romagna, Marche itself and central Italy's famous cities such as Perugia, Bologna, Florence, Assisi, Siena and Rome all day-trip possibilities.

Yet there is also much to see and do closer to home. Macerata, home to an important outdoor opera festival in July and August, is ten minutes away while in northern Marche is the wonderful university town of Urbino, the birthplace of Raphael and the home of the Palazzo Ducale, an architectural masterpiece which houses Marche’s most important museum, the Galleria nazionale delle Marche.

An hour to the north is San Marino and the beautiful coved beaches of Monte Conero are within half an hour’s drive.

ACCOMMODATION DETAILS

- Apartments Rosa and Oleandri are both on the ground floor and each have one double bedroom plus a sofa bed in the living room/kitchen area. The kitchens are fully equipped with four gas hobs (but no oven) and a fridge-freezer. Each apartment has a bathroom with shower and a television in the living area
- Apartment Papavari is in a separate ground-floor annexe next to the main villa and has one bedroom, a bathroom and a large fully equipped kitchen living room with sofa bed
- Apartment Girasoli is on the ground floor and has two bedrooms, one double and one twin. There is a kitchen/living room area with four gas hobs, fridge-freezer and television plus a sofa bed.
- Apartment Iris is on the first floor, reached by an external staircase. It sleeps up to seven people and has one double bedroom, one twin room and one single room. The kitchen is fully equipped with hobs, oven and fridge-freezer and the separate living room also has a sofa bed and television. There is one bathroom with a shower.
